AACo’s Livingstone Beef processing facility is situated at Livingstone Valley, 50km south of Darwin in the Northern Territory.

Livingstone Beef was officially opened by the Hon. Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Australia on Saturday 21 February 2015.

The shift capacity is to process up to 500 head of livestock a day.

The facility produces export beef, hides and rendered products, as well as buffalo and donkey.

Livestock Supply

Northern producers are invited to provide cattle of all types to be processed through our beef facility. We buy livestock every week. We process cattle and buffalo from the Northern Territory and Kimberley and as far as some Queensland and South Australian producers.

The Livingstone supply team source cattle all year round. We purchase cattle from producers with one head to many thousand and work with all agents or we can buy direct from producers that prefer this.

We offer purchase contracts based on either Live Weight or a Hot Standard Carcase Weight at our processing facility. We are happy to work with producers with short term delivery options or on a forward contract basis. Carcass feedback is provided with all Hot Standard Carcass Weight (HSCW) purchases.

We use and require the highest standards of animal welfare practices throughout our supply chain.

Livingstone Beef has various cattle receiving options, whether it is direct to the facility, or one of our other transit facilities, including other commonly used sale depot locations.

Someone from the team is always traveling and would be happy to drop in and discuss options for your sale cattle.

The Environment

Livingstone Beef is building the latest technology and innovation to minimise environmental impact. The facility takes into consideration environmental aspects of carbon, water, electricity, gas and waste within the site. All processing matter is treated and contained within the site.

The location of the plant means there is a minimum six hundred metre buffer between the site and any neighbouring houses. All water used on the site comes from town supplies and is not sourced from the local water table.
